Lawrence Township runs about 22 square miles along the Route 1 corridor, roughly halfway between Trenton and Princeton, and its hospital care sits outside its own borders in four different directions. Straight south, down into Trenton, is Capital Health Regional Medical Center at 750 Brunswick Avenue — a state-designated Level II trauma center and a state-designated comprehensive stroke center. West, off I-295 at exit 73 in Hopewell Township, is Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell at One Capital Way in Pennington, open since 2011. East, in Plainsboro Township, is Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center at 1 Plainsboro Road — the Princeton-area hospital that is not actually in Princeton. Southeast is Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton at 1 Hamilton Health Place. Four hospitals, four different drives, and not one of them a Lawrence address.

Two Lawrence addresses generate most of the repeat work here. Fresenius Kidney Care Harney's Corner, at 1840 Princeton Avenue, puts riders in chairs from 5:30 a.m. — Monday, Wednesday and Friday until 8 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until 5 p.m., closed Sunday — so a standing ride there is either a pre-dawn pickup or an after-dark return, and Saturday is a full treatment day, not a day off. The other is a rehab campus that is really two addresses: Lawrence Rehabilitation Hospital at 2381 Lawrenceville Road, and Lawrence Rehabilitation Healthcare Center, The Meadows at Lawrence and The Terraces at Lawrence, all at 1 Bishops Drive. Families still call the whole thing St. Lawrence Rehab or Morris Hall; Tryko Partners bought the campus effective February 1, 2023 and split it into those four names. Give our dispatcher the old name or the new one — we will get the van to the right door.

The other Lawrence complication is the road itself. U.S. Route 206 is the township's north–south spine, and it changes name twice as it crosses the middle of Lawrenceville: Lawrenceville–Princeton Road coming down from the north, Main Street through the village, then Lawrenceville–Trenton Road heading toward the city, with the historic district fronting it for more than two miles. One highway, three names. Add Route 1 bisecting the township on its own alignment and I-295 curving through in a semicircle, and a pickup address here can be described three different ways by three different people. So we confirm the street name and the exact entrance when you book, not when the driver is already at the curb. Our van is ramp- or lift-equipped: the rider stays in their own wheelchair, secured with a four-point tie-down plus a lap-and-shoulder belt, and the driver goes door through door.
